The First Jhar

We are well aware by many kinds of jhars from our child hood, jhar from our parents, teachers, tutors, art teacher, yoga teacher etc etc etc. but I think as there is a first time for all of these categories… there should be a Jhar from your boss that we remember for your entire life. it is something so deep. Well no one wants to get a jhar from any one. But if the system is some- thing where you bound to get some scold, it is inevitable I guess.

So, then how I could  help my self from this obvious event of life. well I got scolded by my boss after 2 n a ½ months in my work (technically after ½ a month last two months were crap training), so the reason I will tell you,  but only You can decide whether it was justified or not….
The boss I am working under he is the head of sales for all over India, though last few works that he had given me was related southern region. that day he asked me to send mails from his e-mail id to the branches, well he did not specify which branches and as the mail was quite important I thought it was for all the branches in India. It was 80 branches as a whole and I had to send one after another as the data were different of each branch, when I sent 40 mails, suddenly he came  and said “I should not have sent the mail for all regions”. Bloody hell !! how I supposed to know. According to him as some zonal head is looking after the eastern and god knows which regions, I should have sent the mails where he is looking after. By any chance is this some thing I should know… office politics sucks I am telling you.

Then the jhar session went a bit long as I could not sent another mail at a time and all. .t as I think I am very cool I thought I will forget about it, this thing still pestering me like a nagging child, well many kinds of qs are coming into my head..

How I supposed to take this shit? Should I learn a lesion or some thing? What should be my future tactics to counter such scolds or strategy to avoid them?  Etc etc….
I know I will be my self and these people will also be themselves… so give a damn to these problems and watch repeated episodes of How I Met Your Mother.

But yes, one thing I have understood that- in office we should understand these office politics and be smart as much as we can, or else these nerds will push us to get that scold from them.

Well..I am gone a watch one more episode of “How I met Your…” which I may have seen for 10 times….

"I see glimpses of me"

Catchy title? , but this is what I feel whenever I watch any breath taking video of Matthew Brown or Karen Abad, both are photographer come artists who love moving pictures and love to tell a story through their work. I follow Karen in Tumblr (one of the social networking sites) and I found her the most intense woman, I have ever seen or heard, she is so engrossed into her work, cameras are like her best toy and “she knows every nitty gritty of camera and videography” would be so cliché to describe her. She is an artist; she has an eye of a great story teller, her videos in Vimeo (an online platform to share the videos that have been made by you not like YouTube by the way) are like possessions to me. She lives in moment and tries to show that through her works too, one of her video titled – “enjoy your worries, you may never have them again”- can you imagine! How deep her thoughts are.
Well, people like Karen Abad do exist in this planet and inspire people like us.
But what is that glimpse – is that a set of mere images where I am doing what I want? Well, at least I have understood it takes a long time to realize what you want, sometimes half of your life. So, I would not go that far let time and it’s amazing circle decide what I want actually. But I cannot ignore the feeling of my existence when I see these videos; the very moment when I watch them, fills my heart with thousands of butter flies or make me feel like – I am falling in love again and again. May be boring but that’s how I feel and if this is called a “call” – how can I stop myself from being responding to it.
“Living in the moment” is a broad term and I know it’s not easy but would my job allow me to do that? I don’t know?
All I know is that I have to embrace the practicality and should have a pair of impeccable ears for the “call”(s)!!!

Some of her works:
“After the rain”
“Enjoy your worries; you may never have them again”

you can watch more of her breath taking works in vimeo

Journey 2

In my previous blog I talked about the videos that have been made by few great artists from all over the world. Videos which were a marketing tool for the ITALY’s travel and tourism team, an wonderful  initiative. Each video has it’s own way to tell the story which will mesmerize you.we know that nature is a creation of god but I think one can feel it if we go out in some unknown destinations where trees, unknown fruits, significant houses , land scapes & of course people and their languages are only partner of your journey . I feel, I have just been through Basilicata through the eye of these artists (photographers)
There are 8 videos in it among them I have chosen 6 ,the descripton of each video would be completely my own thoughts.
1.Casper Diedrick
well a brief about the artist : he is from Amsterdam , he is very passionate about travelling ,he is an entrepreneur too who is into visual story telling(interesting! Isn’t it?).

the above link will lead you to his video. I would say more of  cacophonic but not in unfavorable way, I loved his video. As I told that he is into visual story telling his work is more of that kind. He gather some moments and try to tell a “story”. His video has  influenced by the people of Basilicata than the beautiful land scapes. Their language, lives, way of living…………. His video will always be remembered by me as a graphic novel!
2. Christopher Tierney
a cute guy from Ireland whose passion for movie making has developed few years ago is an multimedia designer. Apart from his passion for creation he love water sport.

landscapes are the focal point of his video & music! The music which completely fit with each moving picture, just “create” an edge to his video. It felt like the music has completed the essence of the video.
he really has an artistic touch  too that was the blue curtain.. which was breezing & only giving a sense of happiness among those white ,greyish  houses which were projecting a monotonous , mournful feeling ,though there is a completely different feeling in seeing through those artistic houses.
he almost touched every element – the beautiful landscapes, food, wine, people and greenery but still those vintage pictures & his sense of creation has taken my breath away.

3.Erica Kobren
A computer artist encompasses with photography, motion graphics and graphic design one of her work has gained her an award.

  http://www.cantforget.it/video/erica-kobren.html

starts with a map of Basilicata pointing out each places of it  along with showing significant landscapes and other elements of specific places. Twinkling of tiny little stuffs on the road of each places- a sense of happiness but yet again a sense of grief spread away when she showed the abandoned houses or falling of sun . Loved it. Will follow her in vimeo.

A journey

Well me and my writing share a very rough relationship. Neither of them gives the adequate time that they should give to each other. I feel my writing is not lending it’s beautiful hand towards me and maybe he feels I don’t care about him. Such an ignorant bonding we share with each other.
But today I am going to write about one of the most beautiful things that has deeply influenced me, so my better half (my writing!) may be a bit consoled. Yes that thing – it is a new way of digital marketing that has been taken by Italy travels and tourism. The name of the project is “can’t forget it. (aly)”. It is not a so called advertisement of any tourism where within 30 seconds or so the exotic places or the happening shopping destinations are shown, it is more than that. I will be describing every bit along.
First of all how I have found out it. A completely new social networking website has come up recently where people with all their creative works can ravish the field. There I found a woman called Karen Abad an adventurer, director of photography, editor, a person fascinated by moving and preserved images. Her works are quite popular in vimeo. so I found her and I felt such an passionate lady she is. one fine day she posted the link of “can’t forget it.(aly)” where she is also involved .what a blissful day it was.
Whatever it is I found a box full of chocolates. It is actually a project of few photographers, movie makers who were put in to a place called Basilicata in Italy. It is an offbeat place of Italy which has hardly been explored by the travelers who go to Italy I guess. Basilicata is a place where nature meets ancient identities of Italy i.e  typical Italian houses conjested still so artistic, foods , wine, and the most important PEOPLE. Each of the videos is like a sweet and serene journey . A journey where you don’t have to look for luxurious hotels, exotic places or happening shopping destinations. It will be only you and your journey. Oh! I just loved that feeling.

may be in my next blog I shall be going through some of my favourite videos and also describing how innovative and off beat idea of marketing it is. Ofcourse more will be coming about the lady Karen Abad…
