Journey 2

In my previous blog I talked about the videos that have been made by few great artists from all over the world. Videos which were a marketing tool for the ITALY’s travel and tourism team, an wonderful  initiative. Each video has it’s own way to tell the story which will mesmerize you.we know that nature is a creation of god but I think one can feel it if we go out in some unknown destinations where trees, unknown fruits, significant houses , land scapes & of course people and their languages are only partner of your journey . I feel, I have just been through Basilicata through the eye of these artists (photographers)
There are 8 videos in it among them I have chosen 6 ,the descripton of each video would be completely my own thoughts.
1.Casper Diedrick
well a brief about the artist : he is from Amsterdam , he is very passionate about travelling ,he is an entrepreneur too who is into visual story telling(interesting! Isn’t it?).

the above link will lead you to his video. I would say more of  cacophonic but not in unfavorable way, I loved his video. As I told that he is into visual story telling his work is more of that kind. He gather some moments and try to tell a “story”. His video has  influenced by the people of Basilicata than the beautiful land scapes. Their language, lives, way of living…………. His video will always be remembered by me as a graphic novel!
2. Christopher Tierney
a cute guy from Ireland whose passion for movie making has developed few years ago is an multimedia designer. Apart from his passion for creation he love water sport.

landscapes are the focal point of his video & music! The music which completely fit with each moving picture, just “create” an edge to his video. It felt like the music has completed the essence of the video.
he really has an artistic touch  too that was the blue curtain.. which was breezing & only giving a sense of happiness among those white ,greyish  houses which were projecting a monotonous , mournful feeling ,though there is a completely different feeling in seeing through those artistic houses.
he almost touched every element – the beautiful landscapes, food, wine, people and greenery but still those vintage pictures & his sense of creation has taken my breath away.

3.Erica Kobren
A computer artist encompasses with photography, motion graphics and graphic design one of her work has gained her an award.

starts with a map of Basilicata pointing out each places of it  along with showing significant landscapes and other elements of specific places. Twinkling of tiny little stuffs on the road of each places- a sense of happiness but yet again a sense of grief spread away when she showed the abandoned houses or falling of sun . Loved it. Will follow her in vimeo.

A journey

Well me and my writing share a very rough relationship. Neither of them gives the adequate time that they should give to each other. I feel my writing is not lending it’s beautiful hand towards me and maybe he feels I don’t care about him. Such an ignorant bonding we share with each other.
But today I am going to write about one of the most beautiful things that has deeply influenced me, so my better half (my writing!) may be a bit consoled. Yes that thing – it is a new way of digital marketing that has been taken by Italy travels and tourism. The name of the project is “can’t forget it. (aly)”. It is not a so called advertisement of any tourism where within 30 seconds or so the exotic places or the happening shopping destinations are shown, it is more than that. I will be describing every bit along.
First of all how I have found out it. A completely new social networking website has come up recently where people with all their creative works can ravish the field. There I found a woman called Karen Abad an adventurer, director of photography, editor, a person fascinated by moving and preserved images. Her works are quite popular in vimeo. so I found her and I felt such an passionate lady she is. one fine day she posted the link of “can’t forget it.(aly)” where she is also involved .what a blissful day it was.
Whatever it is I found a box full of chocolates. It is actually a project of few photographers, movie makers who were put in to a place called Basilicata in Italy. It is an offbeat place of Italy which has hardly been explored by the travelers who go to Italy I guess. Basilicata is a place where nature meets ancient identities of Italy i.e  typical Italian houses conjested still so artistic, foods , wine, and the most important PEOPLE. Each of the videos is like a sweet and serene journey . A journey where you don’t have to look for luxurious hotels, exotic places or happening shopping destinations. It will be only you and your journey. Oh! I just loved that feeling.

may be in my next blog I shall be going through some of my favourite videos and also describing how innovative and off beat idea of marketing it is. Ofcourse more will be coming about the lady Karen Abad…
